I regularly visit North Muskham a few miles up the River Trent or the A1 from Newark.
I’d noticed before that you can see the river down a grassy opening between the houses at the end of Mackley’s Lane but never had time to go and look.
Last week I found the time. It’s a very pleasant spot with a few benches to sit on and private jetties just across the river bank path at the bottom of people’s gardens.
It must be nice to moor your boat at the bottom of your garden!
